I live in Huntersville with my husband and our three daughters. We moved to the area in 1999 and really love it here. Although I was born in Goldsboro, NC, I grew up overseas. We lived in England, Argentina, Panama, Honduras, Guatemala and Jordan. I went to Old Dominion University for my undergraduate degree and a Master's in Education. My first teaching position was as a 6th grade language arts teacher at J.T. Williams Middle School. After 3 years I left the classroom and was the media assistant at Cornelius Elementary. At that time I went back to school to get a Master's degree in Library and Information Science through UNC- Greensboro. After getting the MLIS, I was the media specialist at Lincoln Heights for a year. I have been at Torrence Creek for 10 years. I have completed the School Administration License Add-on program through Gardner-Webb University. I am now thinking of the next thing I want to accomplish.
